The Paris Normandie newspaper talks about the SPUMA innovation incubated by VALGO

The SPUMA startup, based in Petit-Couronne, on the site of the former Petroplus refinery, has made a discovery that could be a game-changer in the fight against PFAS.

This is a world first in the fight against perennial pollutants, which is being developed near Rouen, on the site of the former Petit-Couronne refinery. The SPUMA startup, incubated by VALGO within its Pôle d’innovation des Couronnes (PIC), has developed a new process to capture PFAS, per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds that persist in nature and in living organisms. This discovery has been internationally patented since 2023.
