SPUMA, from innovation to solution

SPUMA is proud to have successfully developed the first international patent for a biosourced and biodegradable additive linked to a flotation process to treat PFAS in water systems.

As an alternative to more expensive and energy-intensive membrane filters, the SPUMA innovation reduces costs by a factor of 3 to 5 compared with this type of solution, and will be on the market in 2024. Aimed initially at the needs of local authorities and industry (wastewater and groundwater), the solution will then be adapted for use in wastewater treatment plants. SPUMA is also working on an end to end solution with a joint team from 𝗖𝗘𝗔 and 𝗖𝗡𝗥𝗦 to completely degrade PFAS without creating waste.
