SPUMA Laboratory missions

To carry out its missions, SPUMA has laboratory and a team dedicated to the study of per- and polyfluorinated compounds and their impact on health and the environment, as innovative solutions.

With a multidisciplinary team of PhDs in Chemistry, Process Chemistry and Pharmacy, SPUMA is actively involved in a number of research projects.

Le laboratoire Spuma

Treating PFAS:

  • Optimization of the SPUMA additive at the molecular scale
  • Search for new biological molecules that can treat perfluorinated compounds
  • Improvement of flotaison processes,
  • Development of solutions to destroy PFAS

Better understand these compounds:

  • Distribution studies
  • Studies of the behavior of perfluorinated compounds in the environment
  • Assessment of the toxicity and ecotoxicity of PFAS

Implement the treatments:

  • Study of contaminated sites
  • Quantitative assessments of health risk
  • Carrying out preliminary tests
In a spirit of participatory construction, the SPUMA laboratory team actively participates in international and European research programs.
